We got our bike trailer put together for hauling in gear when we camp at a remote site. 

Canoe carrier base. Vehicle cargo basket. Home shop modified bike trailer tongue setup. 

All held together with 5/16" U-bolts. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And amongst other things Trina's been working on moving the small wood shed from above the side deck to below it.

It’s starting to dry and crack in spots that has been wet, but the rear tires were still in standing water when I got out here.

The panel are 16mm polycarbonate that are usually used on conservatory roofs.

I walked on it yesterday when I was screwing it down so it is very strong.

It comes in lots of different thicknesses, from 4mm up to about 25mm I think.

It has walls inside so it's not solid, hence lightweight.

I used special stainless steel screws with a steel washer and rubber gasket to fix the roof, they are usually used for steel siding panels.

Today I decided, as it's hot, I'll do some welding eh? Keep myself cool.

The community garden have been wanting one of these for ages so I cobbled one together. The hanging rock and a thermometer are all that's needed before I install it. 

I feel I should point out that the blue sky you can see in the background is genuine nd not photo shopped. Its a very rare thing in this neck of the woods i can tell you.

Our very own Stroh's Detroit Brew nautical version. They work remarkably well and you don't need to pay them like tv forecasters, who are usually wrong...

For the most part, yes. I buy some plans, modify them to suit what I want to do. Still trying to figure this thing out and just having some fun. Hope to have some stuff with me at the show.

I got the Krown treatment done to 2010 F-150 this AM.    It will be interesting to see what it looks like next spring.    I was really impressed with the operation and even got a wash job when they finished.      $169 + 6% pa sales tax = $180

Norman is over 300,000 miles now.  I’ve had a slight vibration and needed to get my skinny road tires checked for balance.  One was missing all the weights 

 

In the meantime, I tossed these 18” wheels on.  The tires are junk, but he looks great!  The rubber is 33x12.50-18.  I had cranked the torsion bars DOWN a couple inches in the past.  I needed to put some torsion bar back in to clear the inner fender.

Busy couple of days here.  I rented a Ditch Witch micro excavator with a 12" Aug Dr yesterday.  Drilled 13 holes in the ground for a 12' by 20' deck off of the lake house yesterday. 

 

Strated today planning to return the Ditch Witch to the place where I rented it.  Last night I thought I had it on the trailer and tied, down ready to go.  Well, the hydraulics relaxed a bit over night and dropped the auger that I thought was properly latched, but wasn't.  Took 1/2 hour to wrestle it back onto the machine and tie it back onto the trailer.

 

That put us 1/2 hour behind on a run down to Lansing for a meeting with our financial guy today.  We did some shopping while we were in Lansing, finally getting home around 4pm.

 

Mixed 6 eighty pound bags of Quickcrete one at a time in my wheelbarrow by hand for footings in 6 of the holes before my back said ENOUGH.

 

Tomorrow's plans include more concrete mixing, getting an order of gravel delivered, picking the pontoon up from storage, mounting the window air conditioners in the lake house, and restacking the deck lumber closer to the site of the deck.
