Most of the police departments in our area are using more encryption on their radio channels since even handhelds can now support it. The VHS channels (marine radio and CB, for example) are still in the clear.

Northeast Ohio uses the encryption systems. Its called MARCS System. From what I've been told its one of the hardest systems to monitor. I had to purchase "trunk chasing" scanners. Once programmed properly they work great. There's a guy about an hour away from me & he charges $20 to program- well worth the time & cost. To program the 2nd scanner all I had to do was connect them via communication cord & "clone" programming. Now I get everything

Figured while I had the transmission on the stand, I would mock up my three point for Skittles. Have a little bit of welding to do. Wait so I’m confused. I thought the Eaton 1100s and the oil filter on the rear and sun strand on the right side? Am I correct or does this trans just not have one?

It is plumbed in with steel or rubber tubing depending on year so could be moved if required. 2

The filter adapter is bolted to the fuel tank/seat stand sheet metal under the seat pan. It is not attached at this point. I have it laid off to the side in this picture. Just like in the picture above. Edited December 13, 2023 by 19richie66 1

Finally opened around 6:30, I don't know what took them that long.

Horse Newbie 7,051 #6415 Posted December 16, 2023 (edited) So back at leaf duty with the 1984 Work Horse GT-1600. I’m thinking burrito… three trips to the road… last trip I tore some grommets off the tarp popping the clutch in 3rd gear. Still have some stragglers, and knowing me I’ll have to get those too. Hear he, Hear he, let it be proclaimed and heard throughout the land… There is no easy, efficient, method to get up leaves ! The battle continues… Lost 30 minutes work time looking for where I left my Redsquare coffee mug… IMG_3395.mov Edited December 16, 2023 by Horse Newbie 1 3

Horse Newbie 7,051 #6419 Posted December 16, 2023 After the leaf fight I decided to install a new sensor on a motion light. Dropped a green ground screw in the green grass. Never will find that. Found a different screw and made it work. Will a regular screw ground if it’s not green ?

Tractorhead 9,064 #6423 Posted December 17, 2023 Because i don‘t know how fast the Delivery of my ordered Sheetmetal is to enlarge my Snowblowerproject i decided also to Order me a Bigger Bucket for the FEL additionally. Why not selfmade? That simple the complete Bucket was about 50$ cheaper than just the cutted Steel itself. It just have the wrong mount but that is easy to rework. Yesterday the Bucket was delivered, sheetmetal wasn‘t . So i cutted from my selfmade bucket the Quickchanger hooks and welded them on the new Bucket on. after that i checked how good it will fit. 2 Angeirons of 5mm Steel fits perfect down as Pushforce spreader. So i cut 2 Angleiron Pieces with each 10cm wide and welded it onto the Bucket. At least i decided 2 M10 be enough stable to keep it in place against swing. here is a direct compare between both Buckets. the old Selfmade 85cm wide and the new 120cm wide. That size doubled the material i can movewhat is a huge benefit for me. the new Bucket is a lightweight Bucket but for my needs i believe it‘s perfect. now i can clean also directly close to the Curbs the whole road in next Snow until my Snowblower is ready. 2

No matter how self reliant we want to be... It's just more efficient, cost effective, and intelligent to buy a premade item and modify.
