Horse Newbie 7,070 #5381 Posted February 4, 2023 Today Grady and me attempted to start on the vinyl siding on his wife Lois’s she-shed… but it was too cold as I suspected, and the vinyl started cracking. I called off the vinyl siding until warmer temps come. You can see in the second pic how much out of level the floor is… 4

oliver2-44 9,756 #5384 Posted February 5, 2023 It’s good to be volunteering at the Christian Youth Conference1700+ Youth this weekend. Back in February 2020 before COVID it was 2500+. I’m just a helper with a Security T shirt on. We help herd kids around. IMG_8932.MOV IMG_8932.MOV 6
Sparky-(Admin) 21,318 #5385 Posted February 5, 2023 Stopped by a buddies house to trouble shoot his GFCI issue in his garage..,afterwards he says “You want this? If not it’s going to the dump,” Of course I hauled it home. Needs both tires replaced. Not sure I got it in me to hook it behind one of my Wheel Horse’s though 5

Achto 27,587 #5396 Posted February 6, 2023 (edited) Todays project was to tear down the Briggs & "Scrap Iron" engine out of my Swisher mower. Crank all measures up within specs, didn't measure the bore yet as I'm having a bit of a dilemma with it. This engine has an aluminum bore not a cast iron sleeve bore. I've never had much luck rebuilding aluminum bore engines. I'm not sure if I want to bother rebuilding this block or if I want to find an Briggs I/C block that has a cast iron sleeve bore. One other option maybe to have a sleeve installed into this engine. Will no more after I talk to my machinist. Open to suggestion of course. But if a Briggs I/C is readily available and you know it would vote right into place then I'd be hard-pressed not to go that route.

I got my free one several years ago, the strange thing was that I could get it free at a pharmacy but would have had to pay at the doctor.
