Pullstart 62,903 #5303 Posted January 10, 2023 A friend bought a new stacker hauler. It was only powered by a generator, no shore power. Today I hooked up shore power and a transfer switch. We just need to charge the battery to start the genny to test the whole system.
Pullstart 62,903 #5304 Posted January 10, 2023 And no… it doesn’t stack Wheel Horses. It’ll haul two race cars up top, while the tools and tires and crew stuff is below.

Horse Newbie 7,070 #5322 Posted January 13, 2023 I watched “Taryl Fixes All” on YouTube tonight . I seen @Pullstart ‘s “Snowmotractor” on the cover of Lawn and Garden Tractor magazine that Taryl was reading, and I believe Taryl was reading the article on it because I seen it in the centerfold I think. That’s a trip ! 3 1
Pullstart 62,903 #5323 Posted January 13, 2023 Kind of a flop day today. I was contacted by the blood center I donate at, there is a local blood emergency. They are about 1/2 day ahead of demands as of this morning. They asked if I would go to another location ahead of my scheduled drive location. Sign me up! I am A+ and have a certain RO characteristic that makes me pretty special in their eyes. I got there at 12:00 and was the first person in a seat. I generally do double red donations, where they take extra blood cells out and replenish me with saline at the same time, but lately, they have needed my plasma more than my blood. Same machine, different process. Today, being in a different location with different nurses, I found it funny that it drew three times from me, with no returns. I pointed out that something was wrong, but was quickly assured that it was just taking longer than usual. The boss man walked by and pointed out the machine is not separating the plasma as intended and all my blood needs to be returned to me, and I am an abort mission on a 24 hour hood to be able to donate again. Liability, processes, lawyers, etc… I’m already here with a needle and no blood is drawn. Take it again, there are people who need my fluids more than I do! I ended up finding another location tomorrow at 12:05, and will start all over. Today was supposed to be my 3 gallon day. I got the pin, but no sense of the accomplishment. Fingers crossed, I can help someone tomorrow. 1 1

There are actually roller bearings loose when it fractured. I broke down five miles from home at a party yard and he loaded up the 3500 Diesel and brought me home. You can also see the bearing race over the place where the retention nut is supposed to be. The crappy clip meant to hold it on let the nut unwind. That thing got hot fellas and I ain't kiddin. Hopefully the infrastructure of the basic axle can be saved. Both axle hubs will be completely rebuilt. The other side is OK and shows the basic parts needed. Hub oil seal, inner bearing, outer bearing, and retention nut. I may have to buy a thread cutting die to chase the threads if the thread file dies not restore them. On edit:things are proceeding along and I have bought a needle scaler, all kinds of bearings and seals, drained the differential and it looks excellent. I used the hand held type thread chaser and a new axle nut is starting a bit. The regular two inch hex die is on its way. things are looking up i This is just at the root idea stage so far. i have a lot of things i can envision that may not work out, but I think that using the axle itself a kind of lathe bed might have some merit. The starting point will be putting a plastic pipe insert inside the axle and making a jig that holds the die in alignment that turns on the pipe Edited January 13, 2023 by ohiofarmer
