Been in a changing and organizing mode lately what with the new building being done.

Trying to make sure things are best placed.  Often kept mobile.

I'm hoping to plan right...

Today we moved the stand up drill press from the basement workshop out to the barn.

Also moved the Big vise across the room.

I put it in the empty spot on the far corner.

Made a roof and added some much needed space to my wood storage. Still have to install some trim on the front to make it look purdy.

1983, C175h, Series 1, with this winter's plow install -- first snow of the season expected today in Hudson River Valley, NY ......1-3 inches expected....Did blade rehab on my original 1989, 48 inch plow this summer that's been riding on my 312-8 for 33 years -- cleaned all the rust and painted - plus new wear bar bolts -- almost sorry to get it dirty. The hydo lift on the C175 will be nice change from the manual lift on the 312-8

I respectfully disagree...

I love my C-105 and E-141 manual lifts...

Part of my exercise routine...

i certainly do my exercise routine and am very active ... but once you have L 4-5 stenosis and arthritis or also a sports injury then the hydro lift is much better option

The tubes are about:

63.9 cubic feet

1.8 cubic meter

9719 rubiks cubes

Spaces in between and under the roof are about:

35.1 cubic feet

1 cubic meter

5396 rubiks cubes

In total that would make:

99 cubic feet

2.8 cubic meter

15115 rubiks cubes

Hope that answers your question Eric :ychain:

I installed a pellet stove today.  It’s on a t-stat to keep the basement 68 or so, and we’ll go from there.  If we can take the chill off the floors, that would be nice!

I’m building a bin with pressure treated feet next, 4’x4’x3’ to hold a ton of pellets.  Literally 2,000 lbs, not just a lot.  @ebinmaine @sjoemie himself y’all can figure out the volume in Rubik’s cubes!

After the bin is built, I’ll build a chute out of 6” round furnace duct.  The cap outside will be insulated to keep the drafts down and rodents out.

Now I know you really ain't right...

Why in hells creation would you need a pellet stove in the basement when you have outdoor wood? Did I not teach you anything grasshopper?

Heat rises cool falls... just sayin. :)

There’s just something about a flame warmed piece of cast iron in the basement… I’ve missed it for 5+ years

Easy.. that would be about 7340 of 'em..

Now the real question would be how much pellets does it hold :P

Guess a guy can't argue with that can he @Ed Kennell ?

What stove is that? I have a Lennox/Whitfield in the house that's been chugging along for 22 years now.  Eats an ignitor every year and a couple fan motors replaced but still burns good.

I got a Harman P43 brand new in the box yet so I may replace the one in the house and bring that one out to the shop now that I spend all day out here. Try and cut down the wood usage.

See the “dumb and tough” bumps and bruises thread for details… but it’s a 2013 hand me down… been in the family a year or two.

Only way to warm the old bones.    And free wood beats that $5.50/ gal. fuel oil.
