Also built another set of skids, probably won't be permanent as this is probably gonna be the engine that gets belted up to an ice cream freezer. Wheel Horse 3D 3,744 #3855 Posted March 29, 2022 Spent the day manually putting serial numbers on, thus far,144 tracking devices before install on our towable assets(trailers, gensets,lightplants etc.) The manufacturer did not place the serial number(which is how they are programmed and identified into the network) on the units, but was kind enough to provide me a spreadsheet so I can manually cross reference. Mighty nice of them! Then I pulled weeds and put out some of the stump grindings from the 10 oaks I had cut down last May. 8ntruck 6,861 #3858 Posted April 4, 2022 (edited) I spent the last few days volunteering at the First Robotics regional competition the local high school robotics team I mentor for this weekend. I helped with field set up and take down and was a tech inspector for the robots in between. The JV team had a good weekend, ending up captaining the #2 seeded alliance. Unfortunately, the #3 alliance eliminated them in the semi finals. The varsity team maintained the #1 ranking all during the qualification rounds. This earned them the position of captain on the #1 seed alliance. They went on to win the regional. This is the first time the team has been a captain of a #1 seed alliance. This is the first time the team has won more than one regional in the same year. Was especially nice that they did this at a 'home' meet. The team will get some well earned rest before making preparations to compete in the world championships held in Houston in a couple of weeks. Edit: Got a text today from one of the other mentors saying that out of the 3,200 or so active teams FRC teams this year, we are rated #35 in terms of scoring. There are some more meets that will happen before the world meet, so that ranking can change some. It still is pretty good. All beech this time. We'll commence to cuttin' right quick so it has time to dry. I also got the battery out of the Cinnamon Horse C160-8. Was about 50 and drizzle, but, that did not bother us while we were out in the woods. It has rained most of the night, so the intermittent stream was an actual stream today. We got a better idea of the natural water drainage patterns in the area we are planning to build. We did not see any major issues and refined the location and size of the house location. Got a better idea of what needs to be cleared, too. Still got to start working on a driveway into the property. It was kind of neat seeing our woods starting to come to life again. I designed it to fit on the plow frame so I can ride along in low range and trim the verge as I go.
