I got all the kids put back to bed for the winter, again!

Except for Casper. He is waiting on that first 3" snow fall. Cleaned the garage, again.

My thinking, learning, smoking, drinking, just wasting time station. Note the blanket on the floor. Like I said, it gets cold. :occasion-snowman:

We don't have a smart tv and I've already lost that battle.

Me Trina and her mom along with the puppy spent all day cleaning up and organizing the outdoor workshop.

We took out a cabinet and shelves that were too narrow and a bit rickety.

I put up 5 shelves made of 1/2" Advantech square edge.

(2) 8" wide at 7' and 6' high roughly.

(2) 10" wide 14 and 28" below that.

1 about 11.5" wide 28" off the floor.

That'll leave space to put larger items on the floor, 2 top shelves mostly for display stuff, and the other 3 shelves for all other reasons.

Also,

Trina and the Mama helped me with a huge task.

Back around 1998 or so my Grampa and I made a wooden box about 30 wide by 65 long by 30 high. Opening on top at that point.

When we built the box the idea was to use it for a toy box for a few years then I'd stand it up to use as a cabinet/shelf.

That box still had toys in it until today. It's been laying in the corner since Feb 2005 when I moved in. Stuffed right full of toys with a big piece of advantech over the whole thing.

When my former family left in 2013 they didn't take anything from that box.

I haven't wanted to touch it for a thousand different reasons since.

Well today was the day.

Trina and her mom tackled that with vim and vigor.

😂

All the old toys are gone. Some set aside for Goodwill. Most will be sent to the transfer station when I get time.

That box now stands up in the same corner. I'll put a shelf in it sometime and use it for shelf needing items.

♥️

Physical cleansing is amazing for mental cleansing.

I drove from Michigan to Missouri today.  Got a contractor showing up in Mo. on Monday to get the porch project moving along again.  Want to be there for that.

Stopped by for a short visit with @Pullstart on the way.  Picked up some parts out of his chop shop for my C195.  I also put some fingerprints on his Seniors :happy-smileygiantred:.

With all my bumps and bruises, that’s just about right to bury a short guy in…. :handgestures-thumbupright:

I use them often. One thing I have learned is, they are activated by air. Not a lot of extra air in my shoes. Take your shoes off for a second evey now anf then, re-expose them, and they will heat up. Try it, you'll like it

Another hobby item I enjoy is saving old axes.  And I had some great luck at the antique store again.  First one is an axe pattern I have been looking to come across for a decade.  A cruiser axe.  This one is a Collins, probably from the 80's, weighs 2.5lb.

cleaned up.  I like leaving a patina look to them.  Mostly just remove rust with wire brushes and wet sand paper.  Then clean and rub oil into them

The next one is a nice 4lb military Warren axe that I would guess is probably Vietnam era or maybe even WWII.  Both will be great additions!

Not all of them together.  May have to do that.  I try not to be a hoarder and I gift a lot away to family and friends.  I probably only have around 20 or so at this time in my possession.  Similar to wheel horses and box store mowers... I cringe when someone buys a box store axe.  Vintage USA or Euro is the way to go!

If you become a supporter that limit, and the ads, will go away!

And it helps keep the site online.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

The Hosen is suposed to put me in this nice new Bradford White I got but he's slackin so may have the Plunge @JCM to swing by.... lol.
