B-80 carb adjustments

Hi I have a 1974  b-80 just pulled it ut of the weeds after sitting a few years was cleaning the carb out and cant find any info on the base setting for carb thanks

I feel like that one's about 1.5 turns out on both screws but I might be a little off. Somebody will be along to confirm or deny soon.....

anyone know the point gap on the k181 got it back together will idle all day long pour on the power it goes flat if you ease into it its ok

ok great just cleaned them there a re at .013 but way better can see them arching when running and they have burn markes so I think im gonna clean them some more and reset gap and get a new set.

try really hard to spend some time cleaning the old ones. Unless they're badly pitted, don't replace them. Lots of us really prefer to keep the older ones if we can.

yup just cleaned them realy good set it at .020 runs really good cant see much arching either if it stops rainin gonna take her for a rip

Sparking at the points can be caused by mismatched surfaces after filing.  Also, if there is pit on one side and buildup on the other, that indicates the condenser is not in spec.  A good condenser will greatly reduce sparking.
