prondzy 3,882 #1 Posted April 28, 2020 So the other my wife and i were talking and I mentioned I was thinking about a horizontal bandsaw and how it might be nice to have one. Yes truthfully i can go down to @Shynon and use his, it's only 5 blocks away, but when your fabricating something man it takes a big chunk out of your day traveling back and forth. To my suprise my wife said Happy Birthday , (my birthday isnt until June) she never knows what to get me anyway so she said go pick one up, and i dont have to look for a gift. . I picked one up today, my first cutting project was making this roller stand on casters so its easier to move around the garage. So thanks to my wife and happy birthday to me...... early of course. 6
JoeM 7,874 #2 Posted April 28, 2020 I have one that I got at a yard sale, needed some love but worked great. I open mine from time to time and use it vertical too...for small stuff. 18 tooth blade works about the best on everything. I also use 24 tooth for real light stuff. My neighbor one day seen me cut a chunk of wood in it and gasp. I ask what was wrong. He said that is for metal. I told him yep, but it can't tell if it is metal, wood or your finger! it cuts it! I got the big eyes from him. I know if it took a crap today I would have another tomorrow. 2

I promptly went and got another one, gotta rank in the best 3-4 tools in my shop! Get on you tube, there are gobs of neat tricks/s\alterations you can do to one.
