shallowwatersailor 3,213 #3 Posted April 28, 2020 I see a 48" deck with a part number 78290 for the 417XT. In the drawing it looks like the same deck but, as Jeff said, might need the old hardware swapped over. With luck, the holes in the shell will be pre-punched for the 314-8. sergeant 291 #4 Posted April 28, 2020 I don't Know if this Helps But Toro's selling Gimmick for the 4XT series was at the time that it could use attachments You already Had for Your classic series Wheel Horse. So My Guess is if that was a True statement By Toro Then the 48inch deck should work on a Classic 1997 Till 2007 & the Pre 1997 300, 400 & 500 series tractors Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #5 Posted April 28, 2020 The 42" and 48" deck for the XT-Series is the same deck as the one for the 300, 400 and 500-Series but requires a conversion kit to adapt.
