Many thanks to Terry for the great decals.

Once the hood and fender get painted the maroon decals will get installed.

I have Matt's foot control sitting at my US address in Ogdensburg NY.

Unfortunately the border is closed so I cannot get to it.

Machine will not have much more done to it until the border re-opens.

Fortunately I have a few extra 520's kicking around so no worries.

@cleat You started this thread buy saying you were going to spruce it up. If that’s the case I’d like to see you do a full blown restoration!!! As I said earlier in this conversation I love your attention to detail, not to mention the quality of your work. Can’t wait to see it all finished!

Took it outside and topped up the hydro oil.

Also fine tuned the carb.

I think she is enjoying the sun although she is still quite naked.

@cleat

It looks like you removed the original motion lever when you went to Matt's pedal.  What did you do for the neutral interlock switch? (probably the wrong name, but the one that doesn't let you start the engine unless the motion lever is in neutral).

You did an excellent job on this, my 312h is jeolous!

Now for the fun stuff.

Parts have been cleaned up and painted so the assembly can begin.

@cleat

Is that hour meter hardwired with two wires (in other words, maybe to the accessories terminal and to ground, and not a wire just wrapped around a spark plug wire like some hour meters are) ?

BTW… Awesome work !

The "heavy-duty front fender bracket ", is that something you bought??

I have a 312H I need to do a frame swap on and would like some info on it.

I know they are used on later 520H machines. Ones without the belt disengage lever and the park brake set is on the side.

I have Matt's pedals in 6 machines now and they all have the neutral safety switch totally deleted from the circuits.

I pull the harness out and rewire to my satisfaction.

With Matt's kit the tractor is always in neutral unless you are pushing the pedal ahead or back.

You might notice the 520 sourced fuel gauge as well.

That is a hardwired hour meter.

Tractor had an hour meter but I needed the space for the fuel gauge and had that little one here so I made that little bracket to hold it.

Yep, bracket and cover plate were from a 520 (bought both online).

Just had to cut the slot for the parking brake lever.

I figure it will help with the longevity of the tunnel mount that seems to break on a lot of Wheel Horses.

I have made all my machines use this type of park brake as I don't like the newer style as well.

So long as the left pedal is left in place, the neutral switch functionality is retained. Just push the pedal before starting, and the cam plate is centered and the switch will be depressed.

Or at least that's how I have mine set up. The foot control still uses the same rocker and pushrod to the cam.

I also assembled a spare front tach assembly that I beadblasted and installed bushings in the hood hinges and installed a new latch.
