no name 8hp exhaust ideas

This thing is to loud for taste, Looking for a good way to quite it down, possible do a stack,

maybe fabricate some rubber engine mounts? 

any good suggestions?

I run small stacks on a couple of my 8HP machines. I think they’re much quieter than the pepper pot style mufflers.

  No part numbers on these. They were both custom made (not by me).

  Bud Andrews built the one on the machine with turf tires and Jim Kemp built the one on the machine with AG tires. Only parts you need to buy if you end up with one of these stacks are a couple 1” threaded black iron pipe fittings. Any local hardware store or Home Depot carries the pipe fittings.

If you all use black iron fittings, go to a plumbing supply and try to get schedule 80 fittings. Stronger and thicker and less likely to snap off

If you’ve got a welder, you could make something work too.  Right now, this stay at home deal has sparked a bit of creativity both in the kitchen and in the shop for us!
