RetroMower 349 #1 Posted April 18, 2020 (edited) I've been pretty bored lately with all this covid stuff and I've been scanning Facebook lately to find something to fill some gaps. I found an older that ended up being too expensive for just a toy so I found this.... thing. If anyone knew its manufacturer bravo. Its a Springfield from possibly 1961. I'm not sure of anything with this thing that's so ugly its adorable. There is very little information on the interwebs about these so any insight on these with be greatly appreciated. It will be fun to play with and if I do get it running I will probably be one of few who own one of these. I loved reading the history of Pennsylvania panzer tractors and how some guy was mowing a large university lawn and thought he could design a better machine and he did. I always have my eyes peeled for an affordable panzer or copar panzer. Initially I laughed when I saw this Springfield and I still do but it's so ugly it's cute. And I somehow feel a responsibility to rescue a machine like this from scrap. I wont tell if you wont 🤭 especially since my first tractor obsession was an allice Chalmers b112. Wish I never parted with that one.
