Lane Ranger 10,945 #1 Posted April 18, 2020 Well my wife Ruth asked me to purchase her the newest form of Toro 22 inch recycler mowers recently! It arrived via special carrier two days ago! It is built very much like the standard 22 inch self propelled Toro. Mowers that have been around for 15 years but it is powered by a 60 volt lithium ion battery! Less weight and even has a bagger for clippings! Twice the price of a regular motorized Toro 22 self-propelled recycler but no gas, no oil and it folds upright to store! We have a work weed eater and and heavier Oregon weed eater. We owned a 2010 Toyota Camry hybrid which we loved ! Quiet as King Tut’s Tomb and never had an issue. Great mpg, braking, and pick up when you hit the accelerator! I am not sure how long battery will last but I figure the battery replacement cost will be similar cost to buying gas, oil and other maintenance parts ( minus blades) which we won’t have to do! However, Ruth wanted it so I ordered it! JoeM 7,871 #6 Posted April 18, 2020 I like it! My brother just purchased some Sthil battery stuff, per his wife's instructions, and he is liking it too. Weed wacker, trimmer, and blower. He said she is now all in when doing the lawn work. For me it would be less fights with Ethanol Pearl! classiccat 548 #8 Posted April 18, 2020 I serviced my neighbor's gas powered recycler; he has been using a "professional small engine shop" since new. They all must've thought that oil was optional on that machine as well; the dipstick was dry however I was able to extract ~5oz of tar-sludge from the sump. Lane Ranger 10,945 #10 Posted May 11, 2021 This mower is used mostly to trim around lawn edges, flowerbeds, etc. it is a breeze to use. This is not a self propelled model but Toro makes one battery powered. The battery lasts every mow and charged fast. very quiet and light to move. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

8ntruck 6,991 #14 Posted May 13, 2021 (edited) I've had a Worx electric mower for about 10 years. 24 volt system using two sealed lead acid batteries. On my second set now. First set lasted 4 or 5 seasons. I think I'm on my third blade. Been happy with the machine, even though it is mostly plastic.
