bc.gold 3,403 #1 Posted April 16, 2020 I have a couple of chisels ground to the same profile that I use in my pneumatic chisel to do this job when I have a dozen of more electric motors that I want to strip the copper from. Beveled side of the chisel goes towards the metal lamination's, wire must be cut before the copper is annealed in the bake out oven. After leaving the oven the wire falls out effortlessly.
bc.gold 3,403 #2 Posted April 17, 2020 (edited) The mill owner tossed in a burnt out 15 hp three phase electric motor, above you can see the burnt winding. This is the copper from the Hobart generator. I'm thinking those pucks would make one heck of a magnetic table but that's probably as far as it will go, just a thought.
