Will guess it is a 1961 model 401 with a RMR-3261 mower deck.

1961 Lawn & Garden Tractor 551 4-Speed Tecumseh H55D-2113 5.5 Wheel Horse 5007

The hood stand and 2 piece trans are unique to that suburban tractor

I’ll second that! :ROTF:  the only thing I saw right away was the Suburban front axle.  That tells me it’s a ‘60 or ‘61.  That’s all I know.  :D

Good eye John...the 2 piece trans #5007 is the clincher with the Tecunseh.  :occasion-xmas:

I would love to have a round hood wh at some point. Anyone think its worth $400-$500? I think I'd make it into my own resto-mod if it's not a highly sought unicorn model

I have the same tractor, the engine is unique, the hh55 engines can be difficult and expensive to work on.  alot of them got swapped out for kohlers.

Pullstart

Did we determine if it runs and drives?  That might be a question worth a few hundred dollars...

Yeah I'm not familiar with tecumseh engines but from a little searching I saw these were pullstart so with the recoil missing its impossible to test. Regardless I would probably fit it with a 8hp Kohler electric start since it's not a priceless rarity.
