dells68 7,498 #1 Posted April 15, 2020 Emory bought this little guy a few years ago from a friend. Turns out our own @oldredrider went through the engine and it purrs like a kitten. Started it for the first time since last fall and she fired off on about the fourth pull! In the video you’ll notice the top cover is off. That’s because I had to free up the throttle cable from sitting for the winter. 3 8

Sparky-(Admin) 21,510 #3 Posted April 15, 2020 Sounds great! Is it a Tecumseh?
oldredrider 2,553 #4 Posted April 16, 2020 Yup, it's a Teccy. 3 1/2hp, if I remember correctly. It's also self propelled. 1
dells68 7,498 #5 Posted April 16, 2020 Tough little mower. Best running techumseh I’ve seen. Weird exhaust - it exits directly through the deck toward the blade and ground. Wouldn’t want it to backfire in dry grass! The deck is also cast aluminum and is in great shape. Emory loves it, but I won’t let him use it a whole lot because I don’t want him killing it!
lynnmor 7,370 #6 Posted April 16, 2020 Is the Wheel Horse name on the front? Any identification tags, model number numbers, serial numbers?
Terry M-(Moderator) 2,177 #7 Posted April 16, 2020 And I'm surprised how well it runs! I'm also impressed with who ever took care of this Mower..

The mower does say Wheel Horse on the control plate on the handlebar. On the shroud it says 22 Self Propelled. When my friend got it, it had been setting quite sometime. @oldredrider had to undo damage from being stored in a damp environment and source some pretty hard to get parts. I give him credit with how it runs! Here is a quick video of Emory trying it out in the front yard.
