D series for free

Recommended Posts

OK I didn't want to jinx myself but I am to excited. I had a guy i do not know private message me a couple days ago and he as seen where i am always talking about wanting a d series wheel horse. Well he offered me one for FREE a D 160 all i have to do is come and get it!! I feel very honored to have this opportunity. I have had a lot of bad stuff happen with my late dad taking his life in 2016 and several other family members dieing and my adopted family not talking to me for 3 years now after all the hard work i did cleaning and saving my dads equipment as i let the house go back to the bank. I only am trying to find out if i can travel to get it and if 1 of my 3 beaters will make it. LOL anyways this comes with no attachments. Can someone post some photos of the attachments for it? I will be interested in a deck and snow blade for now. maybe a loader way down the road or if i hit the lottery. LOL Funny thing about this story i texted my wife while she was helping my brother and good friend who owns a funeral home and said well what do you think? My wife didn't skip a beat she said to me What would your dad have done? I said he would have gotten in his truck and drove there coronavirus or not. LOL

Yeah Im trying to do this safe as i can. I may wait to he said it isn't going anywhere and to take my time. I got a hold of his state and asked there bored of health if it is ok to travel to and back in 1 day. Im waiting for a response. My main thing is its a 3 hour drive and I have 3 vehicles but i only really trust 1 of them. I think my 2004 jeep liberty i think will haul it ok with my 5x8 trailer. How much does one of them weigh do you know?

Awesome news Nathan!

I was given this Generator Welder yesterday and the first thing I could think of was to find a D series stretch the front frame section a bit and make it into a service welder tractor!

That is pretty cool!! My late dad had 1 old twin generator I gave it to a friend. I gave alot of stuff of my late dads to friends. I guess i am getting pay back for being a nice guy. LOL even tho i dont want nothing i just want to make friends along the way and help when folks need it! That is a way cool welder. Is that a Lincoln?

Yep.  It was given to my father in law, who used to build stairways and metal erected structures.  Many jobs were on site, though most prep work was done in their shop before hand.  It’s been sitting in the barn for quite a few years now and was occasionally started up.  A quick service to it, it should come right alive.  It would be so cool to build it into a service tractor for farm repairs as part of my business!

I am wondering does the d series take a special snow plow or is it just a regular long frame and is the deck special or would my 953 deck fit it?

I have a finish mower, a Rototiller, a belly mower deck, a dozer/snow plow and a mold board plow for mine.

P.S. the belly mower deck is incomplete now as I am doing a redo on it.
