So I was thinking about taking my 416-8 and adding a second rear axle and having a dual axle setup and taking an old dump cart box and mounting that as well to have almost something like a dump truck. My question is has anyone ever done such a thing and if so do you have any pics and pulley/belt setups.

not sure if I want to hunt down another transmission or rob the one out of my 417-8 Thanks in advance.

Yep... not a dual axle in the rear, but an extended frame Dump bed 2 seater :handgestures-thumbupright:

Here is the link to the project build!

@pullstart that is really nice looking. What’s your plans for the belt setup? I too kicked around the idea of stretching it. I saw this and thought how cool.....

I am using a Predator 6.5 hp engine and plan to have it mounted under the seat and front of the dump box.  It shouldn’t be too difficult for the belt to run :handgestures-thumbupright:

Here is an idea for a set up. This could be accomplished using a single transmission.

With the belt driven trans on the Horizontal Shaft Wheelhorses like we’re used to, the rear end could articulate too for better crawling traction!

These are some great ideas. Thank you. This idea is just in the thought stage and will take some time in between build kitchen cabinets. But I want to get it all planned out and gather the supplies so I can just go at it hard when the time comes.

@Stormin I just read through all 17 pages of over the pond banter...  but in 2016 it seems to have stopped?  Is there a finish?
