WHX?? 49,193 #1 Posted April 13, 2020 (edited) The dumpster that is. Some idiot threw this in the dumpster at my office. Whoever it was musta been an outboard freak as it was filled with lots of junk from boat motor repair. Very rusted but quite savable. Shoula took some before pics my bad. Had a nasty brush paint job. Blasted it and painted. Guy can't have too many tractors or tool boxes right? Left the dents in it for character and the handles untouched so the MN boys wouldn't be all over me for not staying original! Must be somewhat vintage the badging was actually metal! Off to the jungle site for drawer liner. Edited April 13, 2020 by WHX24 More pics 9
oliver2-44 9,875 #2 Posted April 13, 2020 When I worked at the Ford tractor shop in high school, 1975 I bought one like that as my first real tool box. My previous tool box was one of those heavy top opening beer cases I had painted over.

Pullstart 63,113 #4 Posted April 13, 2020 When are you gonna dig deep and start a thread about your Candy Apple project?
WHX?? 49,193 #5 Posted April 13, 2020 (edited) Thanks... I better not ever commit a crime with it tho...its got my finger prints all over it. Did I mention how much I hate waiting for paint to dry! Maybe get some cheap HF & leftover tools for it and make a rack for it for a tub. Then we can use it for mobile mechanics station on plow days when someone snaps a belt or busts a spindle! 12 minutes ago, pullstart said: start a thread about your Candy Apple project? Was kinda waiting for a nice spring day and a little green up for the glamor shots but the way the weather is going. We got an inch of the white stuff last nite and cold and windy today. Sounds like the whole week is gonna be cold and crappy. MN guys got three inches @Shynon ??? Edited April 13, 2020 by WHX24

SPINJIM 1,981 #7 Posted April 13, 2020 Nice work. Most of us here on RS take the approach that you don't throw away things, you FIX them.
WHX?? 49,193 #8 Posted April 13, 2020 Got that right Jim... afraid to take the trash out sometimes at the shop. The things I see get thrown in there.
