Tine Rake/ Lawn and Roadside

Today does not feel like Easter because of our current situation and the Weather was nice for us to get some seat time in,so with Patti on the C-120 and Myself on the 417 we did some spring clean-up before the rains tomorrow. I use the Tine Rake on the lawn but never on the Roadside so I thought I would try that out and pleased with the outcome. Last year I used a  rake and for over 400' of road frontage that gets old quick. Also started the trail maintenance with the tine rake but that is a job for another weekend. It works extremely well picking up Pine needles as you can see by the pics. On another note I noticed a change in how people actually say Hi and wave going by when I was roadside whether they were walking or on bicycles, almost how it used to be in the old days, and I like that.    Happy Easter All

I've noticed the same.

I've never seen an implement like that.....seems to do a nice job.  I assume it does well on flat landscapes, how does it do when encountering undulating ditches etc. ?  Does it then need constant manipulation by raising and lowering it to keep from digging in?

 

And, I love living in more rural New England where people tend to wave.  What I notice at least in northern VT where we usually are 100 days per year is that on paved roads people do their thing.......get on the dirt roads and you usually get the "two finger on the steering wheel" wave at a bare minimum.   Hell, I wave to everyone, even if they don't wave back perhaps they keep driving thinking there is one less a@##%!e in the world.......

@ River19    The Tine Rake does do a very nice job for what it is. I use it for mainly somewhat flat areas and you do have to raise it manually if you go into a ditch,it stays down until I get where I want to leave the pile of debris and then back up a foot or two which takes pressure off of the tines and then lift it and locks into the transport latch and continue backing. Once the hitch is mounted the rake takes less than 1 minute to connect and disconnect and is nice when putting the tractor away in case you have to many other WheelHorse's in the way to store it, but I don't think any of us has that problem   .     This attachment was sold new by the dealer where my 520- H came from when new. I have included a few pics of the attachment and using it in the woods doing Trail maintenance last year.   Thanks
