cod 120 #1 Posted April 12, 2020 Might not be the right spot to ask this but here goes. I'm looking for a way to change/eliminate the draw bar on my 418 and replace it with something that would accept a "Curt" style trailer hitch. I've got a Curt hitch on my truck with an adjustable slide for the height of the trailer and I'd like to use it on the 418 for towing. So if anyone knows of someone who makes them or has one to sell, let me know. Thanks - Cod
ebinmaine 67,266 #2 Posted April 12, 2020 They're available on fleabay. Best bet is to contact our own vendor wheelhorsepartsandmore.com. directly. Lowell and Joette are wonderful folks. They sell a VERY heavy duty hitch. 2

CCW 1,292 #8 Posted April 12, 2020 Ok, ok. Photos you get. A couple of pieces of square tubing to accept the draw bar. The upper one is so I could raise the trailer tongue to a better height. The lower one has the receiver hole for the original hitch connection. This was my first modification to the tractor and I bolted it directly to the original hitch bar. Discovered that the tongue weight was bending the hitch bar so I added a bracket to support the new hitch connect from the suitcase weight rack. Worked perfectly after that and the suitcase weights still fit should I ever need to use them. Oh yeah. Green paint was some I had and I was new to the WH world. 1
Bill D 1,907 #9 Posted April 15, 2020 I made my own. I had an old receiver hitch someone gave me. I cut it down and made this. Bill 2

R Scheer 502 #12 Posted April 18, 2020 And for a little different approach. Though I have to wait for the lawn to dry out more before trying the hitch. It supports my weight with no issues. 1
