pfrederi 17,663 #2 Posted April 11, 2020 Chisel under the end....Dremel with a cutoff wheel slice a slot the length of the key down almost to the bottom then collapse the sides in. 6
lynnmor 7,302 #3 Posted April 11, 2020 (edited) Try tapping down with a punch and hammer at one end in an attempt to rock the key so the opposite end pops up. Edited April 11, 2020 by lynnmor
JAinVA 4,619 #4 Posted April 11, 2020 Paul has got the answer for you.The key is cheap to replace.Do not be afraid to destroy it but protect the axle! 3
Pollack Pete 2,273 #5 Posted April 11, 2020 And when you finally get it out and put in a new key, coat it with Never-Seeze.
953 nut 55,065 #6 Posted April 11, 2020 I have drilled down the center of the key with progressively larger bits until it was halved. At that point a small punch will get the halves to move. Like Pete said, Never-Seez for the new key and anything you ever want to be able to remove in the future. 4
WHX?? 48,766 #7 Posted April 11, 2020 Had a few tough ones myself. Soak for a few days with your preferred liquid wrench then the heat wrench. All of the above are great suggestions.
