Bill G

Hello all I’m new to this forum . I live in New Jersey ( unfortunately) . I just got my hands on a 312-8 and I’m not sure what year it is , or how to find out what year it is . It needs some work and I would like to get parts for it as well and get it back in shape . Any help would be Greatly appreciated.

Thank you ,Bill G

Look on the seat pan left side for a sticker with a model  and serial number.  #12-8 were made for several years different engines ignitions etc.

Welcome to the forum

1988 is the model year.

Some info here. Click on the fuzzy pictures to get to it.

If you want more they are all mixed up so look through them all. The results of a search using your model number.

Awesome thank you for the replies. Now did the 1988 have round head lamps because one has round . I’m thinking someone swapped them out .

Edit: I was wrong, they do appear to be round on your model. I just learned something!

Any pictures of the tractor? We like pictures and they can be very helpful in determining what you actually have!

No worries.

Rough could be referred to as character.

I believe the head lights should be round but the bezels will make them look square.

Yea those are some wheel weights . I have a plow attachment for her as well . I think the plow is missing the handle to raise and lower it

The implement arm is already there to raise your plow up and down. It just needs to be hooked up

The seat is the only part of that tractor that I would consider rough! That's a nice looking rig!

Here is some info on the dozer supplied at the time. Very little difference between the models between 1968 and 2012 for this series of blades.

If you want to have down pressure on the blade you use a long lift link.

Your tractor illustrated parts manual page for the "Manual Lift Linkage" shows where the different attachments connect. Handy page to have near by.

Rough?? That tractor looks like a million bucks compared to most that I,ve ever bought. You'll love that Magnum 12.Plenty of power to do most of what you'll ever do and …...it will sip gas.Have fun with your new toy.

:WRS:

That is a fine looking :wh:, the 312-8 is in my opinion the standard by which all other garden tractors must be measured. Versatile, reliable and user friendly. Like @Achto already mentioned, a pair of these blinders will allow your horse to look straight forward. Toro Wheel Horse Headlight Bezels
