I bought this really old gem and not sure if it's a Brigs Kohler or Onan? I know it's green like onan ( generator only  of this generating plant manufactured by Onan)

Is what it says on nameplate

That's what I think too. I can not find anything on it to go off. It does not have the points box outside like you normally see on a Kohler

I'm going to say that it is an Onan engine, I believe that Onan only used their own engines on their gens. The top of the fan shroud is too rounded off on top for a Briggs. Briggs fan shrouds are a bit more square on top. Is the block cast iron or aluminum? A cast iron Briggs would also have the points in a box on the outside like a Kohler.

Engine is an Onan, how many KVA is the gen head.

Not sure at which horse power Briggs used a mechanical governor, know for sure the 5 hp and under used an air vane,

It's single phase 4 kw (120 volt only) 33 amps . I was wondering if someone put that electric start on it doesn't look to factory 😂

When that engine was new, plastic starter bendix gear didn't exist.
