Searcher60 209 #1 Posted April 6, 2020 Hello everybody! Anybody know the overall thickness, and the thickness of just the larger diameter section of now discontinued 7435 spacer? The spacer is located against the drive belt engage/disengage pulley on hydro model’s. Same spacer on other models such as the C160 Auto. My Electro was missing the spacer and I have made one on the lathe. I think/know I am thin on the part of the spacer that is up against the pulley. I say this because there is to much bolt sticking out of the bracket when installed. I can make a batch of these out of SS 303 but only if I have the exact original dimensions. Thanks in advance. pfrederi 17,876 #4 Posted April 8, 2020 (edited) Flange OD 3/4" 13/32 thick Neck is 7/16" OD 3/16 Long This is for a GT-14 I just went up the shed were the chargers are summering... Looking down into them the spacer 7435 looks to be just about the same thickness as above. I do have one Electro that is runnin with a 100309 spacer which has a thinner flange... Just a couple of couple notes. The bolt is 3/8”, so with the 7/16” neck that leaves only 1/32” metal left to ride up and down in the slot in the metal. Are you certain? The width of the slot in my metal linkage is 9/16”. So, naturally I assumed gtrider made a typo and meant 9/16”. Or, my my slot is worn 1/8”. Also the thickness of my metal with some wear is about .200. So, only 3/16” long would lock up the movement when the bolt is tightened. I really want thank you both. Wish I had a NOS 7435 to make some new ones out of SS 303. However, I can make them any size to compensate for the wear. Also, I can say this. Regarding the breaking of the teeth off the parking pawl inside the trans by putting the tractor in park while moving. I do not see how that is possible. What I do see is that the contour of the parking brake lever wears down and causes the pawl teeth to wear at the same rate as the brake lever because of the wear in the contour of the brake lever. This allows the parking brake to slightly engage while the parking brake is off and tractor is being used, and grinds down the pawl teeth inside the trans. Replacing the Pawl without replacing the other worn parts is a waste of time.
