kthomas62 44 #1 Posted March 29, 2020 (edited) Good evening all, So, the hood pivot rod is about worn out on my 414-8. It doesn't seem to be available any longer. Just wondering what some of you may have crafted one from? Thanks! Kevin Edited March 29, 2020 by kthomas62 Misspelled word
cleat 6,635 #2 Posted March 29, 2020 I do this to get rid of all the slop in all the components. Make up a pin from 1/2" rod (I used stainless steel) then drill out the front hitch and the 2 hood pivots. Oversize hood pivot pin.pdf As you can see I use cotter pins and washers instead of the E-clips. 1 5

953 nut 56,115 #7 Posted March 29, 2020 The rod is a 3/8" steel round stock that can be found at any hardware store. The holes are probably elongated and can be drilled out and insert some flanged bushings to bring it back down to 3/8". 1
