Docwheelhorse 2,660 #1 Posted March 28, 2020 Hello All, Hope everyone is coping well with this virus mess... On my way to my sisters house I passed this... stopped and made deal. Then I looked around and found the place just too quiet and without any livestock or equipment. Come to find out the whole farm is in foreclosure.... the equipment auction happened April 2019. Nobody wanted the old non running "little tractor".... well the electronic ignition is off of it and @Sparky gave me a used pickup and coil to try. If that doesnt work it will get converted to 12 volt ignition. I dont think its been used much and check out the 3 point hitch! Sad to see Rockland farms heading into history.... at least the 'horse will live on. Tony 12 2 1 8
oldredrider 2,548 #2 Posted March 28, 2020 Tony, I too hate to see farms die. No farms, no food. However, this is a great opportunity for you to go to the Kohler side! Best of luck to you and the great score. 4

Tractorhead 9,064 #7 Posted March 28, 2020 Sadly to hear about the Farm, but great to hear, you can save the Horse. does the Plow shields also be part of the Auction? otherwise they have to be safed and find a new owner, they too valuable for a Scrap yard. The plows are for D's and he has a D200 with a Kohler K532 in it... but because it runs he wants very high $$$. The D200 is offsite at one of his friends
dells68 7,498 #10 Posted March 29, 2020 I’m jealous of that loader my friend! I’d love to have one, but since I have a compact tractor at Dad’s with one, I can’t justify spending the green! Good luck, GT14’s are nice machines!
Pollack Pete 2,273 #11 Posted March 29, 2020 Nice GT-14.Hate to see a farm go under.Too bad the govt. and bankers can't help out the people that feed us.Probably build a Walmart,Amazon,or housing development on that land.JUST what we need.Anyway, have fun with your new toy. 1

The Tuul Crib 7,336 #14 Posted March 29, 2020 What we need is another Farm Aid . Not sure what happened there. Just like these tractors it all about american pride!! Where did it go! Very nice save and congrats!!
lynnmor 7,302 #15 Posted March 29, 2020 While the loss of farms is surely a bad thing, we stood by while so much of our manufacturing went under. Now we are faced with some serious challenges with so little capability to produce the items to make us whole again. Real people making real products for real wages (like tractors) is what built this country, not the pencil pushers and traders. 1
12Horse Paladin 1,038 #16 Posted March 29, 2020 That is sorta my dream tractor; glad to see itll have a good home! And a loader to go with...exactly as id do! Maybe you could get a decal made up of the farm sign where it came from, as a reminder...
