A Splitting Day.

Needed to chop some kindling this morning. Sometime ago I acquired some old telegraph poles. These had been cut up into lengths ready to be made into kindling. Usually I use an axe, but today I had an idea.

A short, very short video. Carol had never used my camera before. Think she needs some lessons off Trina.

Filled to barrow loads. About another load tomorrow. Should do us for a couple of years.:handgestures-thumbup:

I reckon I deserve a JD or two tonight. I feel quite exhausted.  :orcs-cheers:

Over here that would definitely be treated wood that you don’t want to burn!

Yes they're treated. That's why they aren't burnt already. Just used for kindling to light the stove.  Three or four sticks do the job.

Not treated with creosote, but the green ones are treated for sure with something you don't want to burn...even in an outdoor fire.  Those green one would rot from the inside and you would just have the shell.  The white ones are hard as a rock and treated also.  Not the same stuff as the green.  Pretty cool Norm...just for starter Mate.

Yes! They are creosote treated, not pressure treated. It's pressure treated wood that gives of toxic fumes.
