My "Blacksmithing" center

Even though all metal work is done in another separate shop, I often need to do some light metal work associated with woodworking such as metal inlays or hardware modification, usually involving non ferrous metals. For that I have this small anvil (15Lbs) mounted on a cedar beam that I can just move around as needed.

In the door?  Never seen that!  I'm sure it works.  I would expected them in the post.  Actually. most of what I've seen were sliding where the doors are.  No doors of course.

Originally when bench was first built it was that way for quite a while. However as bench evolved and doors became a necessity to keep inside clean, I changed it to this system. One benefit from it now is that I can have a second piece on the other end's vise and use the other door also at the same time. It has happened that way quite a few times. The bench keeps evolving as new necessities emerge.

Evolution!  I just noticed the dovetails!

If we were closer I'd try to share what I've learned in the kitchen!
