Complete tune up

The Tuul Crib

last night I decided to take the carburetor off and put in a new kit on my 414-8.

As I got farther and farther into it I noticed more and more grease pile up and build up everywhere. So I decided also as well to adjust the valves and clean under all the

tins. When I got the tins  off here is what I found underneath. It's amazing this motor didn't heat up on me.

The mix of oil and sawdust may become a fire hazard.  It appears that tractor may belong to a woodworker.

Good catch          :handgestures-thumbupright:        Lots of neglected engines out there have kept on ticking in spite of buildup like that.    :scared-eek:   Bound to shorten engine life.

That thought has crossed my mind but it hasn't given me any symptoms. Compression does seem to be good. I got this tractor about three years ago and it has been well taken care of and no signs of it being torn apart for any reason.

Just a bit.  A cleanup and a re-torque of the head bolts may solve your problems.  The head gasket may be good.

So is there any difference between the

Magnum motor and the K motor.
when it comes to the head gasket do they both use the same head gasket?
