@Handy Don   The de thatcher has it's own mount. That is a custom front mount that started it's life as a front mount for a Mckissik chipper /  shredder. Added a top mount for a winch and a receiver with ball mount for moving trailers around the yard. Thanks for the comment on the safety gear. Also a pair of Red Wing steel toe logger boots and leather gloves. Never pull the starter rope without those items.

Just picked one of them up recently. Should be able to put it good use next year.

Nice job on the PPE Jim!!

I picked one up cheap this summer. It isnt a tractor mount. I thought about attaching it to a wagon/cart so you can tow it behind a tractor. Plus give it a wider base.

I'd HIGHLY recommend that.

I have a chipper that's a drug around type. Mine is a more modern piece with pneumatic wheels.

Even that is very difficult to move place to place.

Before I found the Mckissick I had intended to mount/modify this one the same way.

It was Mrs. P’s father’s or grandfather’s and they grew up as kids sleeping on the snowmobile trail rides for hours at 40-60 mph!  The rib of one of the skis is worn off, I should re-shoe it some day!

It’s still great for a winter’s nap!

My 1970 Commando V-8 when I brought it home in 2004. it had to earn it's keep and sadly is in between powerplants and isn't quite so shiny anymore.
