Added a top mount for a winch and a receiver with ball mount for moving trailers around the yard. Thanks for the comment on the safety gear. Also a pair of Red Wing steel toe logger boots and leather gloves. Never pull the starter rope without those items. On 1/17/2021 at 8:52 PM, ebinmaine said: Just picked one of them up recently. Should be able to put it good use next year. Nice job on the PPE Jim!! I picked one up cheap this summer. It isnt a tractor mount. I thought about attaching it to a wagon/cart so you can tow it behind a tractor. Plus give it a wider base. 4

Plus give it a wider base I'd HIGHLY recommend that. I have a chipper that's a drug around type. Mine is a more modern piece with pneumatic wheels. Even that is very difficult to move place to place. Before I found the Mckissick I had intended to mount/modify this one the same way.

JCM 9,130 #687 Posted February 7, 2021 I am sure a lot of you enjoy looking at pictures of tractors you have bought that needed help and sometimes draw a line as to how far to go. This 420 is a survivor no doubt. It needed a list of small items that seemed to grow the more hours I had into it and the deeper I looked labor wise but really nothing major as of yet. I think leaving some of the worn decals give it some character as it was used as a work tractor which I plan to continue albeit light work. These pictures are my favorite ones nearing completion of the refurbish as I feel a lot more comfortable knowing when I throw a leg over it I have a better idea what is under me.

The rib of one of the skis is worn off, I should re-shoe it some day! It’s still great for a winter’s nap!
