I found these two piece cultivators to do a very inadequate job in actual gardening! They look great in tractors for shows and pictures but really not workers! My favorite cultivator is my nine time one with a mix of three blades -1 large Danish knife, four smaller Danish knives and four of the regular Wheel Horse knives or shovels. I can do a garden of seven or eight rows in 15 to 20 minutes. I bought one more cultivator recently, an AC-7 original Wheel Horse cultivator ( these were first used on the Pond two wheel garden tractors and made by Brinly) with a 1959 RJ in May of this year. It was missing the center clamp ( which I got from another Wheel Horse friend) and I bought some additional parts to make it have nine times instead of eight. 4 6

AMC RULES 37,127 #255 Posted August 2, 2020 So pleased with my deck resto results......I've started redoing the tractor to match it. 4
JCM 9,130 #256 Posted August 2, 2020 @Stormin No need for an apology, I have a habit of doing that myself. The way I look at it is there are many members and non members who never get to see these beautiful machines because they are not able to be on here as frequent as some of us are and have to scroll way back to find them if they ever do. We are all caretakers of these tractors only for a short time and I am trying to extend the life of those I own so hopefully other generations will be able to work and show these as we do and get the satisfaction that we got from them while we are here. This is another beauty I let slip away. 4

JCM 9,130 #258 Posted August 9, 2020 Just returned from a short 42 mile round trip this morning saving ( I hope ) another WH. This appears to be a 1987 418-A with a KT17 series 2 transplant with the Kohler 18 Magnum decal on the chrome air cleaner. I was not sure under what heading to show this and had a notification from @c-series don regarding the above 520/ kwik-way photo and figured Side shot Sunday was as good a place as any, thanks Don. More pics after a cleanup to see what I got myself into, again. How do I stop buying ? but you guys aren't the right ones to ask for a logical answer. She needs some help for sure this one. 6

D_Mac 8,593 #260 Posted August 9, 2020 Since I dont have a Wheel Horse at this present time again. Can I still play in your sandbox with this ? Just until I get another Horse of course. It does have a Wheel Horse seat I put on it.
JCM 9,130 #261 Posted August 9, 2020 What a difference 4 hours makes. Washed and cleaned as much as possible to get a good look at things, changed the color of the duck tape seat from grey to black for now, lubed the adjustable seat track to get that working, greased steering and front end then took it up and down the road to get up some speed and get it hot, short trail ride then in for a oil change. Seems a lot nicer than I first thought but plenty more to check out, little at a time. That console mounted hydro lever is the cat's meow, very impressed. 1 4
