giddyap 1,569 #1678 Posted May 22, 2022 My 1980 C-165 was made for two years with the single-cylinder K341AS. It is pictured with a Harbor Freight 10k generator and my custom C-85. 2
Gregor 4,846 #1679 Posted May 23, 2022 All the kids came out for a romp today. First time out this year. No jumper cables or starting fluid needed. They're not all Wheel Horse, but at least they are all red. Except for Casper of course. I left the green in the barn. 2 15

Sparky-(Admin) 21,318 #1687 Posted May 27, 2022 Kind of a side shot. Not sure what the boat and trailer actually weigh. Although she pulled it the front got light, even with front wheel weights, and when backing down the brakes were barely doing their job. Boat is 17.6” with a 4 cylinder GM inboard on a galvanized trailer. 5

Having the trailer wheels hit an obstruction as it is while moving would put the tractor right over backwards with you jammed between the trailer tongue and 500 lbs of steel. Not a good day. 2
8ntruck 7,006 #1694 Posted May 30, 2022 (edited) the toung of the trailer is above the centerline of your rear axle, so the force being used to pull the trailer is also wanting to pick up the front wheels. The force the trailer is putting on the tractor while moving backwards and braking is also trying to lift the front wheels. Pulling up hill or braking in reverse while traveling down hill will also make the tractor want to flip over backwards easier with that hitch. Keep this in mind and be very careful. Our little Horses will hurt us just as easily as they will work for us. Edited May 30, 2022 by 8ntruck
