36" Tiller 1969 GT-14

Recommended Posts

I purchased this GT-14 last year and it came with a few attachments, including this 36" Tiller.  So I figured why not lets see if it works.  It's awesome and has inspired me.  I am going to put in a garden plot.  The unit itself is a bit overkill for the job but what the heck.  :handgestures-thumbupleft:  I like overkill.

Good pictures.

Some of your rear wheel nuts are loose and one missing.

Uuuhhhhhh.... Not possible.

It fit right?

I have a serious tendency to build/make/redo most things kinda on the HD side.

Yes, I was at Napa yesterday and forgot to get some studs and lug nuts, I am going to replace them all.  A weekend project.

Notice you have an extra drive pulley outside the pto clutch.

How is it driven and what is it used for?

The pulley was on it when I bought it and I am not sure what it was used for.  It's on there pretty good and I haven't had any luck removing it.

herder, that's an awesome looking set up that you have !  talk about old school iron !  are you planning to do a lubrication change/ flush?  chances are that any oil in it has been ther a long time , probably moisture/  milky debris . i have found that long neglected units take multiple flushes / drainings to make it right. if possible, run it to possibly heat up oils , then run and flush with a lighter oil to help cleaning. just my own experience , do what ever  you think is right, pete

Thanks Pete, yes it's going to require some attention.  The first round of fresh fluids leaked out on to the shop floor.  It needs seals.
