Ed Kennell 38,658 #1 Posted March 14, 2020 Actually the F-150s hitch is just the anchor for the roller. The 417A supplies the power to the Eaton 6 in the Charger V8. It's a good test.....that right tire is spinning. This is the method I use to test all hydros in non runners. If my arthritis behaves, this Charger V8 may become a rear engine two seat golf cart. 6 6 1

ZXT 2,401 #3 Posted March 15, 2020 Got my hopes up! I was hoping to see a WH pulling a dead ford home! I know the real test is to nose it up to a tree and see if the tires spin - here you're doing that but with at least a couple hundred less pounds on it for traction. Is the test accurate without the weight?
Ed Kennell 38,658 #4 Posted March 15, 2020 I did add 178 lbs and the tire continued to spin thru the full range of forward/reverse. Sorry, I didn't have anyone to take a picture of me standing on the tool box and operating the motion control lever. She did push the Ford forward a bit before the tires started to spin. I was afraid she might push the Ford and drag the 417A 3
c-series don 8,833 #5 Posted March 15, 2020 Is that double pulley standard on a charger? If so what is the purpose?
