Implement clutches getting pretty worn so made up some new parts and put in some brass bushings,  will put a couple grease fittings in pedal, have to get a # 1 drill for 1/4 - 28 tap. Also making a new pulley idler arm ass'y.

Awesome work!

I didn’t recall a #1 bit for a 1/4-20 so I checked a chart.  It looks like a #3 or 7/32 would do the trick?

My drill chart calls for #3 for 75% thread for aluminium, brass, plastic. #1 for 50% thread for steel, stainless or iron.

gt14rider , nice work on those pieces, on a number of movement points , clutch rod , pto , plow lever rod , i have added , heim joints , using a threaded rod as the mount point. they totally take out the wear / play issue . no matter what i encounter with a horse issue , i always think of it as an opportunity to make it better.  no offence to anyone on this , i just want to make problems go away , pete

Pete ,heim joints are great, but all these parts lasted 54 yrs. New parts were made from scrap angle iron and now should last another 54yrs. I'm using heim joints on my gt14 drag link and tie rods

The originals have lasted 50 years or so...if redoing them the same way lasts nearly as long it goes way beyond my planning horizon...:P

Got some more done.  Grease zerks in pedal, made a jig for idler arm ass'y. First picture is old idler arm set up on jig. second picture Is new one, welded it in the jig, added new stud. I still have to get old stud for idler arm cut off side plate and new one welded on
