bottjernat1 2,190 #1 Posted March 11, 2020 So i have had a ton of folks ask me about the steering wheel puller i have that was my late dads. I have used it but only once dad used it many times. It is a pretty slick deal. I dont know who he got it from unfortunately. It was from a friend of his who made it. I have a video of it on my Youtube channel. I will see about getting a drawing and measurements of it soon and i will pass it along. 4
midpack 905 #2 Posted March 11, 2020 Nice work. I'm wondering if your Dads' buddy used a Wire EDM to make the split only thing I might do to improve the design would be a steel "split" bushing to sit inside the stepped bore to press directly on the steel part of the steering wheel. IIRC the outer cover hangs below just a bit
bottjernat1 2,190 #3 Posted March 11, 2020 I agree i would like it to be made of steel all together. It could take more of a beating this way!
squonk 41,461 #4 Posted March 11, 2020 Another idea would be a fine thread push bolt. More pulling power

midpack 905 #6 Posted March 12, 2020 OK, yeah that makes sense. Wire EDM is my specialty, that's why I thought of it first
