Blades For Mower Deck

Recommended Posts

Ron A.

I read and read, called various local parts gurus and still can't find blades.
I have a 36 inch rear discharge it was missing a blade and the bolt that holds it on when I got the Horse.  The blade that was still on it was the left blade if the deck is down, right one was missing.  The blade is 18 inches long, but it's not a flat blade like most 18 inch replacement blades I'm finding.  Checked with various links on here and no good so far.  It's a 67 867. I can't see the serial number on the deck because PO painted it over...
Thanks.

WHX??

Might be a RM-367?? Check this manual out. Se if a little paint thinner will get the paint off. Sounds like you are looking for a 4116??

If you can nail down the exact model and part number put a wanted ad in classifieds. Pretty common deck in the day and someone is going to have one. Guessing you tried A-Z tractors?

Thanks for the help so far.  Local Toro guys were able to cross reference with the numbers above and located the blades in their system, but they say 'unavailable' on their end so they're going to call and see if that means discontinued completely or just not available at this time.  The washer and bolt for the blade are both unavailable as well.  So.  The blade set if available is $80.00.
I don't wish to go all backyard mechanic here, but a standard 18 inch blade wouldn't work?  I'd have to mount one upside down, but the blade that was on the deck are flush mount round holes Held with the bolt and washer.
I mean what's the worst that can happen?   It's rear discharge so all flying parts so go behind me lol...

Not sure if that would work Ron. The only 67 deck I had I gave to Mike @prondzy and never messed with it. Lots of guys mow with them yer so hopefully they'll chime in.

I'm waiting on a reply from an Ebay seller who has a couple of sets. Making sure they're 18".

Thanks if that doesn't work out, I'll definitely Message you.   Now for the bolt and dome washer...16 thread one inch.

You best go get that one … tell your wife it's a very rare tractor since Raiders didn't come out till '68!

The original type gear driven 36 inch blades are getting harder to find.    That is for sure!

Some folks still have on their shelves and collectors probably have an extra set even if they never use the mower deck to mow with!

There is no such model numbers Ron. You need to go to :wh: confession. If the seller argues he needs to go too!  The Reverend Parsons will now hear your sins and you are forgiven. For your penance you shall memorize the WH all years pdf and go get the aforementioned tractors and give them a home. Your wife says anything you are on a mission from God....

I was just showing ya what he said. I'm the first to admit I know nothing about all the models. I told him for $200 load it up I'll take it and I haven't heard another word.
Found a set on Ebay, 16" not 18".  So i'll probably buy a goat and tie it to the front...

Pat's shows them still available

8014 BLADE KIT 52362 $53.03

https://www.psep1.biz/page.asp?page=home

5-2362 is one deck model they fit.

If you go this route I think someone mentioned he has a flat rate for shipping so order anything else you need.
