Ron A. 35 #1 Posted March 3, 2020 (edited) I am an Addict... I Admittedly and Willingly admit I'm Addicted. I have named her 'Shirley'. My Second Wife that doesn't talk back, but still costs me money. But I Don't care...I Love Her. I have went 'tunnel vision' and since acquiring my '67 867 hunk of sexy cast iron, more than once I've woken up in the middle of the night with my Wife staring at me and asking what tramp I was dreaming about because it sounded like I was "Really Enjoying It"... I've kept to myself I was envisioning 'Shirley' all decked out with new rear rims wrapped in Ag tires with a working rear tiller set up and an unstuck hinge pin. Just quietly drift back off to sleep. She's painted up by the PO with $13 a can Red Paint. Must've been windy that day because Decals, Wires, Basically has paint all over it. Picaso he wasn't, but oh well I got her now. Taped up seat, Duct tape no less... But it works for me. I love the way it provides a subtle caress and the back comes up just enough to hide any embarrassing ass crack sightings or unnecessary pointing and laughter if you sit on it the way you're supposed to...Like any lack of confidence in your 'clutching' capabilities will provide you with a heart defibrillating Wheelie moment akin to skydiving and the first chute doesn't open right away... Recently bought a snow plow, snow plow mount(****... And Thanks WH Parts n More.) plow didn't have a handle... So anyone out there have a snow plow handle let me know... Shirley and I and My other Wife need one. One step closer to tearing it all down and sending her off to powder coat... I didn't post pics because I couldn't handle all that drooling... Pullstart 62,784 #2 Posted March 3, 2020 Don’t think I’ve done so yet... Quite a funny yet close to home read right there! The only girl name in MY fleet is Jane, as in Plain Jane... named by mine and @WHX24‘s wives (did you know that Jim?). Well, it’s a simple plain red tractor, yet one of my go to workers. Not much to cold sweat about... though I bet Mrs. Pullstart hears me mumbling in the night about Putt Putt, or tractor this or that... There is another girl in our herd, my daughter’s “Filly” 2 3

WHX?? 48,765 #4 Posted March 3, 2020 No I did not know that Kev. I do not name my tractors as it's hard to let them go when it's time to cull the herd. Good thing my wife has a name tho so I don't have to cull her! In case I have not done so Ron 1 5

I understand about the drooling and I'm not disagreeing but we really do like our pictures. That was a great story and one that I can well relate to. Luckily for me, Trina has two of her own ummm.... "Others". Pony. 657. And Pigpen which is an 867. You are in good company. We are not sorry you are here but maybe you will be when you figure out what kind of company you are in. Have you started adding on to the barn, shed, garage? You're going to need more space. 3 years ago I had ONE. Within a few months we're going to have 7 completed. 1 1

WHX?? 48,765 #22 Posted March 4, 2020 (edited) Believe it or not fellas I was at an auction and most of those hoods were stacked on a pallet. I had no interest in them but some guy bought the whole skid for 20 clams just so he could have one hood off the pile. I asked him what he was going to do with the rest of them and he mentioned scrap. I says oh no no no no.... I'll take them your going to do that...yours he says! So I got them for that four-letter word we all like that starts with an F! You'll notice many of them have the original ornament on them! The your fav the multi color one on the corner Kev... I got the rest of the tractor in the same patina on another pallet. Frame, tranny, seat pan & everything. Someday I am going to put it all together for a tractor with some character and an unknown story to tell! Edited March 4, 2020 by WHX24 1
