kylep 1 #1 Posted March 2, 2020 I am working on a Roof Palomino mower that has a Kohler K482 engine in it and have a question about a "mystery" hose on the engine. It is located directly above the oil filter. The end of the hose has been plugged with a bolt. I am not seeing anywhere that the end of the hose should hook up to. I have attached a couple of pictures. Does anyone know why the hose is there or what it attaches to?? Thanks for any information.

kylep 1 #3 Posted March 2, 2020 Thank you for the quick reply. I appreciate your thoughts. I have attached the only current picture of the Palomino that I have. I have the original mower deck for it but have it removed.
WHX?? 49,940 #4 Posted March 2, 2020 Nice! ...looks to be orginal and unmolested! Tractor buddy we know had a nice one too. Only decent pic I have of it.
Mudrig150 301 #5 Posted March 2, 2020 The breather is on top of the head... Is it screwed in, or on a barbed fitting?
kylep 1 #6 Posted March 2, 2020 It is a barbed fitting.
19richie66 17,542 #7 Posted March 2, 2020 My K482 just has an Allen head plug there. Maybe a crankcase vacuum port for LP gas regulator or some kind of diaphragm pump?
Mudrig150 301 #8 Posted March 3, 2020 On most of the diagrams I see it's a 90 degree fitting with an oil pressure guage fitted to it. Might be a guage feed.
