I herder rumor you got Bob’s last 2 953/1054 seats. Now I’ll have to wait until spring. It’s all good.

:text-coolphotos:            Nice finds, particularly that 953!           :bow-blue:

Well worth the trip.                :auto-layrubber:           Transported another one across state lines I see.             :angry-tappingfoot:

I guess it would be safe to say I like 953s, especially the first generation ones. The serial number on yours should begin with 62-XXX, how low a number is it?

Here is some info. on them.

Thanks for the info

You got me curious what number it was, so I ran out and got a picture

Yes I did, and very happy to have purchased them.  They are excellent quality and look great.  Bob's work is top notch.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

My two first generation 953s are 62-780 and 62-829, yours is a bit earlier.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

Newbie question here but what's up with the 62- in front of the S# ??  I noticed a few of my early 60's have it too.

The early production 953s were made in late 1962.       Besides, you know the Ponds were too thrifty to not use up the stickers they had in stock.
