You guys have seen my hauls... what do you think I’d need to pull this one off?

There’s a D series with a loader and a handful of attachments in the classifieds.  We won’t be too far from it’s whereabouts in a couple 2-3 weeks for a gymnastics meet.  Anyone willing to shed some physical light on the size of this haul?  My 6-1/2’ pickup bed with a cargo rack on the back?  Do I need to pull Norman from storage?  Find a u-haul trailer one way?

I dunno... A '87 Yugo. YOU probably could fit that tractor in the hatch.

I think a one-way rental on a U-Haul would be a great idea.

With a lot of finesse and some weight lifters, you might be able to pack all that in your blue buggy. However, just the D by itself probable weighs more than everything you had on your Big Show haul.

The blue truck is gone now, it would be in the new red truck... or Norman our big summertime hauler

Just load it safe and don't overload what ever you're driving so no one gets hurt. Especially your family. Remember. Stopping is more important than towing.

That looks like a nice package deal there, hope you get it.

One way rentals are so outrageously priced I would look around near your home first. We have a couple equipment rental outfits that will do a one day rental on a 16' trailer with ramp gate for $ 20.00 a day.

years ago a guy purchased an Allis Chalmers HD5 (similar to one in pic below) from my father and transported it with a car hauler 

 

I thought the HD5 was going to crush and flatten the car hauler 

 

now - starting to think pullstart could transport that HD5 in a pickup truck bed !

Take a car hauler. There's no way to fit all of that into the back of a short bed without damaging the truck. The $50 you spend renting a 16' trailer will be well worth it.

I sit here in  FEL less Middleville... waiting and hoping that in the next few weeks me being second in line becomes me getting the call to come make Michigan one loader richer.

U-haul trailers are cheap. Just checked and to rent a car hauler for 600 miles and 3 days was only $139.00. I'm guessing a utility trailer for the distance your talking would be a lot less.

I'll vote U Haul car transporter trailer.  Rental rates vary with location and destination.  Starting in Florida travelling to points north is cheap.  The other way, not so much.  Going west is more expensive than starting west and going east.

 

Frankly, I'm surprised thay you don't have a trailer to go along with those race cars in your collection.

I would ask few trucking companies, if they have space available for stacking your load on top to fill a trailer.

 

here some smaller companies offers sometimes a added load for a cheap prices, to fill their trailers, if it on a planed route,

to make it more rentable.

thats mostly cheaper and easier instead self driving.
