Bigtrx34 321 #1 Posted February 24, 2020 Started on the frame last night, got the dirt, grease, paint, bugs, grass, dead bodies and mole people off the tractor frame and axle. Heated the old shop up to about 75 and today I'm shooting red. 1

I got all the sandblasting done Wed night and that same day we in Michigan got some snow so I have not had time to get everything painted and put back on the frame. Should be able to hit it again this weekend provided im a good boy and help my wife with the honey do list during the week.

I don’t think the torpedo heater was enough of a preheater and it was still tacky last I checked! I guess bad paint is better than no paint...

I plow commercially so over a 15 mile span east to west I plowed about 1/2 my customers, the rest were bare.
Bigtrx34 321 #13 Posted February 29, 2020 Getting everything ready for paint, fender and hood will wait till spring. I can keep my garage warm and low on humidity with the wood burner but I would like more consistent temps before I do those parts.

Bigtrx34 321 #25 Posted March 9, 2020 So good news for me the stator and mags look to all be in good shape, I do think I will replace the windings and pickup as I have it this far apart. Keep the others as spare I was told this motor had charging issues so those and a rectifier with a good ground are on the list. Any other thins I should look for? All my fins are clean as well, given the state of the rest of the unit I was happily surprised to see that
