Oh ya! The deck is usable, with a tiny weld around 1 bolt, some bearing and paint, the chains and weights ( I believe their 50lbs wheel weights).... heck the weights cost way more than $50! 😁👍

I live about 10 or 15 air miles south of Fryeburg.

 

It's been kind of up and down as far as what they're expecting since last night.

Gme 13 says as little as three or four inches but the NWS latest update has my hills around 5 or 6.

Ok, I’m supposed to get 3-6”, were to the east of Bangor about 15 miles. Of 34 degree snow... not fun for the snowblower... fun for the power king though!

I bought that new Ariens super extra amazing snow blower a month ago today or tomorrow and we haven't had to use it but once.

 

Art of me is wicked curious to see what that beast would do with 6 or 7 inches of white cement.

A small part. The rest of me would rather just wait until next year to try it out.

A little update on the clearing work.

 

Trina, her mom and I have spent 6 or 7 "work sessions" of 2 to 4 hours each out there.

 

You can see the brush piles we've been making.

Also note the stacks of sticks in various places.

 

It's been a LOT of work and fun.

 

Still at least a couple sessions of work to do.

yeah I've been leaving those trees right where they were since I moved in because I thought at some point I might want to try tapping and boiling.

 

I thought about it multiple times over the years but I've never gotten around to it and I always just buy the syrup from a farm that taps well over two thousand trees a little further up the mountain from me.

If I had about 10 hours more daylight every day...... maybe.

 

This place up the road makes a rather unique blend. Trina and I both prefer darker syrups and this guy uses a lot of (Red, Rock Or Swamp) Maple mixed in with his sugar maples. Makes for a nice Dark Amber loveliness.
