Daron1965 644 #1 Posted February 20, 2020 Purchased this 312-8 that is in good condition. It came with a wheelhorse bagger. It also apprears to be in good condition. Anyone have a good value on the bagger system?
Stepney 2,325 #2 Posted February 20, 2020 Never seen a 37" actually complete with the catcher, interesting. I know the power blowers can go for a few hundred all in good shape. Can't say I've seen a 37SD sell though.
Darb1964 1,042 #3 Posted February 21, 2020 I have one that has two bags, hooks up with flexible steel handles, but works the same. Need to have high lift blades and keep deck well greased. Works good on my 520-h but has limitations. Wet leaves and deep grass can plug it up and get frustrating. I use it every time I cut my lawn. I give the cuttings to my wife's chickens, geese, turkeys, goat's,and micro pig's. They all love the treat. Came on a 310-8 my brother picked up and it was well used, abused better description, but still work's. I think 100bucks in good shape without the deck would be tops $. Darb1964 1,042 #4 Posted February 21, 2020 I also have used it for counter weight, hook up is very strong.

Darb1964 1,042 #7 Posted March 2, 2020 I didn't modify it, I put concrete block's in the bags, can be hard to get them back in place. I only did on a temporary use plowing dirt. It helped but was hard to get the bags in place. After that I bagged grass and leaves before plowing gravel or top soil. If I needed more often I think old weight lifting weights could slide over the brackets. I thinking about building a wooden box to sit on the brackets then you can add weight when needed or put tools in it when working on projects.
Darb1964 1,042 #8 Posted March 2, 2020 Daron 1965 I looked at yours again looks like the bracket is different than mine, mine has round steel brackets. The top sits on them, they bolt to the rear end, and are very strong. Surprised me how much weight the bags weigh when packed with grass. That's why I only tried the blocks once, worked but pain getting them in place. I have sat down on the bagger to see how much it can hold I weigh around 200# took it no problem. I'm sure yours will also, probably more.
Daron1965 644 #9 Posted March 2, 2020 Thank you. Mine has steel tubes running down to the hitch rod. I had my 160# neighbor sit on the bracket and it didnt budge. Im going to do a little experimenting and see if i can adapt a little winch plate i have. I dont plan on using any part of the bagger but the brackets. If all goes well, i will put a small harbour freight remote winch up there. It would be easier than ordering cable, rockshaft etc to lift my tiller or single bottom plow. Darb1964 1,042 #10 Posted March 2, 2020 Good idea the cable lift for rear implements, not great set up. Tip on mime pulled off when I lifted my tiller few years ago. I jerry rigged with a cable clamp, works but gets bound up on occasion, one of them things I want to fix right just haven't got to.
