Lane Ranger 10,983 #1 Posted February 18, 2020 (edited) What size is the 953/1054 idler pulley? we are working on a 953 that either has a stretched #1592. Drive belt (1/2 x 82). Or an idler pulley that is the incorrect size. the previous owner put a cub cadet hydro pump on this which is incorrect. That is why hydro pump does not have the pulley on it. The cub housing sticks out father than the Wheel Horse Hein Werner hydro pump! Edited February 18, 2020 by Lane Ranger
squonk 41,289 #2 Posted February 18, 2020 Lane, the pulley looks like the right style. Lets see the belt. Belts don't stretch. The sides wear down causing the belt to fit deeper in the pulley giving the illusion that it's longer. Maybe a "retired guy "here can measure a pulley as I'm leaving for work.

953 nut 55,712 #4 Posted February 18, 2020 Lane, the balt for a 953/1054 is listed as a 82 1/2" bet and I have found that a Tractor Supply 93"" X 1/2 Kevlar belt (4L-830K) is just right,
