C_hasbeen 249 #1 Posted February 15, 2020 I picked up a hella stout wagon today, it has a tag on it Jake's Nashville Tennessee. Has 18 inch tall side boards with slotted angle iron attaching it all together. I removed the sides and set them aside for now, I will need to put new tires and clean the old grease out of them so it rolls easier, then fix a tongue so I can use my 656 to pull it. It is very heavily built for sure. 30 x 60 will sure be a nice size.

ebinmaine 67,266 #3 Posted February 16, 2020 Good worker! Any plans to redecorate it or keep the green?
C_hasbeen 249 #4 Posted February 16, 2020 I plan on turning it red some time soon, it was red once before but looked more of a simplicity orangish red, the place this came from did recently sell off his simplicity and all the implements, I bet he had this painted to match it at one time. 1 inch diameter axles should Cary plenty of chicken feed! 4 1

JC 1965 1,530 #7 Posted February 16, 2020 Nice wagon. I see a Fortress air compressor in your garage. How do you like it ?

I like the compressor it has a bigger tank than my old one so at first I thought it was slow but when I thought about it a bit it pumps pretty fast, it does not sound like an air compressor should in my mind, it is more of a buzz like a two stroke engine. It runs impact tools nice, I don't know about sanding if it would keep up or not have not tried it. I do not regret buying it. 1
The Tuul Crib 7,336 #9 Posted February 16, 2020 Jakes was an old wagon manufacture here years ago for the cotton mills. Chances are there were some cotton bails moved around on it . Nice find ! Save that emblem on it Collectors item! 1
