hodge 6 #1 Posted April 27, 2009 I am a flooring installer by trade (until September), and naturally am in homes all the time- you can imagine that my WH radar is always on. Today, when I went to the basement with the customer to look at an area to install tile, lo and behold there was the prettiest Cub Cadet 126 sitting there! It is pristine- I will get a pic or two tomorrow. He is the original owner, still mows with it, and it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. No trailer queen, no rebuilds- just in excellent, well cared for shape. I don't think it is for sale. It sure is nice, though.

hodge 6 #3 Posted April 28, 2009 There it is. I little more history- he bought it new in 70, and the only thing done to it are new rims/tires. The originals were sodium filled, which rotted the original rims. It sits there in his basement, with a battery tender keeping it topped off and ready to start. I heard it run yesterday, and the 12 horse kohler just purrs...
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,531 #4 Posted April 28, 2009 That is a very nice looking Cub. I'm not sure, but I don't think that's the original seat either. I can see the battery tender - good idea. I need to pick me up some of those also.
TJ 177 #5 Posted April 28, 2009 That shows what a little TLC can do. Thanks for the pictures.
hodge 6 #6 Posted April 28, 2009 according to the owner, all but the tires/rims are original.
hodge 6 #7 Posted April 28, 2009 That shows what a little TLC can do. Thanks for the pictures. That's right- preventative maintenance goes a LONG WAY. I have a 99 Honda fourwheeler, that looks like it came off the showroom floor yesterday. I ride it and use it regularly, but take care of it. It will be around a long time. big mike 13 #8 Posted April 29, 2009 It does look like a replacment seat. The original had heat pressed seams that went from side to side on the bottom and did not have as high a back as that one looks to have. I would easily replace my 126 with that one if it were offered. It has been very well taken care of.
